Tomoko Nagakawa is a photographer/filmmaker.
She photographs and films for corporate clients, advertising, magazine editorials and features. Her editorial work is published in Asia and Europe.
Tomoko also produces her own artistic projects, from photo series to short films. Most recently, she was in Cremona and Venice photographing violin craftsmen for a series on artisanal workmanship. Her ongoing projects include photographing the hands of craftsmen and documenting the lives of female entrepreneurs who are supporting their communities in east Africa.
She grew up and studied in Tokyo and is now based in the UK, although her work takes her all over the world. Tomoko is always keen to meet new people and learn about their projects.
